Dr. Omkar Prasad Baidya (born December 3, 1984) is an Indian doctor, philosopher, author, and faculty for Physiology at ESIC-PGIMSR and ESI Medical College, Joka, Kolkata, India. He has written and published various books on moral philosophy, world peace, universal ethics, and morality. Through his books, he has acquainted people with the importance of human virtues in shaping lives and solving all human problems. He envisions bringing philanthropic change in the world via moral leadership. He introduced a new morality theory in his book Morality Beyond the Human Brain: Scientific and Philosophical Exploration, where he designed an equation for intrinsic morality. In his book, A Path to World Peace, the author has shown how human virtues play an important role in shaping human civilization and human lives. He has also shown that universal religion can play an important role in the establishment of peace throughout the world. Universal religion should give importance to the development of universal ethics, morality, and human virtues in human beings. According to him, human virtues, like compassion, forgiveness, and nonviolence can form three pillars of world peace.

Early Life and Education
Dr. Omkar Prasad Baidya was born on December 3, 1984, in Agartala, Tripura, India. He completed his schooling at Shishu Bihar Higher Secondary School before pursuing his passion for medicine. Baidya received his MBBS degree from the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal, Manipur, in 2009, and his MD degree from the same institute in 2012. He completed a prestigious ICMR-sponsored Post MD-PhD program and was awarded his Ph.D. from King Georges Medical University, Lucknow, in 2019.
